12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris

The first day of the safari you will be picked by wild escort safari professional driver at either the airport or the hotel who will brief you about the whole safari. Travel from Kampala heading south west of Uganda to Masaka have a break in the journey at Equator for some photos .you will have lunch on the way, then proceed with the journey to Lake Mburo the land of pleasure blessed with nature and Uganda’s smaller park embraced with savannah and acacia woodland, also ranked for supporting a great number of antelopes. Retire for a night at the reserved hotel.

You will be served breakfast early morning at the hotel and then head for a morning game drive around the park where you will encounter numerous animal species such as a great number of antelopes, Burchell zebras, impala, Erands, African hyena, buffalo, warthogs and Uganda’s greenery such as savannah , a diverse array of water birds, hippos and crocodiles. This adventure will expose you to information about the 500 million years old ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks underneath, the 13 nearby lakes, wetlands among others. After a morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters to meet up with the park guide who will brief you about the activity and later you will join your tracking group of 8 members and proceed with the long hour’s search of the chimpanzees in the most beautiful tropical forest and it’s a one hour experience after their encounter of man’s closest cousin.

However you will encounter other animal species such as monkeys, terrestrial mammals like African elephants, sitatunga, red and blue duikers, giant forest hogs, African elephants. You will have packed lunch in the jungle and later return to the hotel refresh and rest for a few minutes and head for a B community walk in the Bigodi swamp. This will give you a chance to interact with the Bigodi women learn their life style participate in their hand crafts, cultural dances and taste their local cuisines. Return for a night stay at the hotel.

Breakfast at dawn, you will descend to Semliki national park the best birding destination famous for its stunning hot spring called the Sempaya hot spring. Your will experience a magical hour of adventure while on the hot spring walk in the park. You will descend into the tropical rain forests as you will encounter with primate species and terrestrial mammals. It’s an ultimate feeling when you reach the stunning Nyasimbi the female hot spring and Bitende the male hot spring as you take a view of the boiling geyser. Return for dinner and a night stay at the hotel.

Carry with you eggs, matooke and vegetables which you will cook in the female hot spring for less than 30 minutes.

A meal at dawn, you will set off to Queen Elizabeth national park in south western Uganda a popular land of tree climbing lions found in the southern sector of the park. Lunch will be served at the accommodation rest for a few hours and head for a boat cruise at the kazinga channel situated between Lake Albert and George. You will experience the sea breeze and sight the aquatic life such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, a variety of bird species and other animals along the shores as they drink to quench their thirst. Return to the hotel, refresh, have dinner and retire for a night.

A cup of coffee in the morning, you will head for a morning game drive where you will sight numerous wildlife species in their natural habitat. These includes African Buffalo, elephants, oribis, Jackson harte beest, warthogs, tree climbing lions hiding in the fig tree in the endless Ishasha plains, a variety of bird species, a magnificent picnic view while at the Mweya peninsular. Head back for lunch and set off to Lake Katwe a salt production area where you will learn the formation of the lake and how salt is extracted. Return for a night stay.

After breakfast at dawn, you will set off for a morning game drive south west of the park in the ishasha sector in search for the mighty tree climbing lions which cannot be spotted elsewhere in Africa. This will involve a search of a member of the cats family in the fig trees and thick grasses. It’s by chance that you will see these creatures. You will drive to bwindi national forest via kihihi where lunch will be served. Detour around the town and experience its urban settings then proceed to the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park were you will reach in evening at the hotel refresh have dinner and retire for a night

After a cup of tea, you will head to the park headquarters to meet up with the park guide for briefing about the does and don’ts. It’s an early activity which starts at 8:30 am and a 2-6 hour trekking with strictly a 1 hour interaction after meeting up with the gorillas. Throughout the 1 hour, your free to take photos, videos learn the gorilla ways, feeding communication. You will carry packed lunch which will be taken while in the wild. Meet up with the Batwa communities where you will get to know much about their cultural practices, dances, local cuisine among others. Return to the accommodation for a night.

A morning meal at the hotel, transfer to Mgahinga national park famous for its golden monkey and Batwa experience. This will be a long drive while travelling through curved roads at a slow speed passing through mountain ranges of Muhavura, Sabinyo, and Gahinga. You will have a stopover at Lake Bunyonyi in kabale where lunch will be served. You will see the beautiful birds at the shores and spot the islands from a distance. Proceed to Mgahinga check in at the reserved hotel and retire for a night.

Have early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing, joining your tracking group of 8 members for about 2-6 hours and a strictly one hour interaction you will get to know the communication styles, feeding and adaptiveness to the greenery environment. Packed Lunch will be taken in the wild and you will carry boots, light jacket, umbrella among others. You will head back to the hotel for dinner and night stay.

Early morning after a cup of tea, you will travel to Rwanda via kisoro town crossing the kyanika border. Lunch will be served in Kigali town then proceed to the genocide museum to view the cultural monuments resulting from the Kigali genocide. You will see the big dug up glassed graves with many packed coffins inside. Head to the market observing how trade is carried out, things being weighed in kilograms. Opt to buy anything you desire at the market. Check in at any hotel of your choice in Kigali and retire for a night.
