7 days Wawote Safaris & Adventures Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration Safari Adventure is a wildebeest migration safari starting from Nairobi and taking you through Nairobi and 3 other destinations in Kenya, this safari offers you an opportunity to witness the Wildebeest Migration which happens from July to August in Masai mara national reserve. The Great Wildebeest Migration is noted among the Seven Wonders of the World and is one of the most exhilarating East African Safari Event to witness, this event involves millions of wildebeests with hundreds of zebras, antelope species of gazelles, impalas and elands.

  • Day 1: arrival in Nairobi
  • Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara national Reserve

  • Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

    Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will met by representative of Focus East Africa Tours who will pick you up from the airport (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) and transfer to your hotel in Nairobi for check in, you will spend the rest of the day resting at the hotel or explore the Nairobi city on foot . Overnight and dinner at 67 Airport Hotel.

  • Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

    After breakfast, you will be picked up by your safari driver-guide and drive to Masai Mara game reserve, along the way you will have a stopover in Narok for views at the Rift Valley Escarpments in Narok and proceed to the reserve arriving in lunch time. Masai Mara national reserve is one of the finest wildlife sanctuary with over 450 species of animals recorded, after having lunch at the lodge you will head to the reserve for a game viewing experience. Some of the animals should expect to see include lions, leopards, cheetahs, African wild dogs among others. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3: Masai Mara Game Viewing

    After breakfast, you will head to the plains of the reserve for a full day game viewing, Masai Mara national reserve features a landscape with  scenic savannah grasslands on rolling hills. The reserve is the best Kenya wildlife park for game viewing as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. You will have a break for picnic lunch at the hippo pool, enjoy meals while looking out for hippos and crocodiles. In the evening you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve (Option Hot Air Balloon Safari)

    After breakfast you will proceed to the reserve for another full day of game viewing within the reserve, you can do an optional Hot Air Balloon safari which offers you aerial views of the endless plains of the reserve and migrating herds as they stroll through the reserve and being followed by predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and African wild dogs. As you are following the migrating herds, chances are high that you will witness the hunting action.

  • Day 5: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park

    Wake up early for a morning game drive before breakfast, after breakfast you will leave the camp and drive to Lake Nakuru national park a birder’s haven arriving in the afternoon. After lunch and checking in, you will go for a game drive in the rift valley lake which is referred as the biggest bird spectacle due to millions of flamingo birds that inhabits the lake. Because of millions of flamingoes, the lake  is normally referred to as the Pink Lake and during the game drive you will be able to enjoy wildlife views such as the giraffe, black and white Rhinos, waterbucks, reedbucks, lions, buffaloes, leopards, baboons and several other species. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Naivasha – Nairobi

    Have early breakfast and drive to Lake Naivasha – Kenya’s highest lake sitting at 1,880 meters above the sea level. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus, the lake is a home to over 300 species of birds such as flamingoes, spectacled weaver, and brimstone canary among others which you will observe. You will also be able to watch animals such as hippos and buffaloes grazing on the shores of the lake.

    After lunch, you will exit the lake and embark on a journey back to Nairobi arriving in late evening, check into your hotel, have dinner and stay overnight at 67 Airport Hotel.

  • Day 7: Nairobi – Elephant orphanage- Giraffe Center – Airport Drop off

    After breakfast, you will drive to Giraffe Center a home to rescued, hand – reared and released around 500 orphaned giraffes back into the wild since it was opened n 1979. During your visit you will be able to feed the giraffes, learn about their behaviors and take great pictures.

    After the experience, you will be driven either to the airport or to the hotel in Nairobi for drop off, marking the end of the safari.
